When I first moved to Toronto in 1983, I found myself quite often on the Spadina Bus (I was taking some courses at U of T).  What I remarked the most was that you could always see the bus if not two or three, ambling their way up Spadina towards Dundas.  However, without fail, the bus would be packed and so would the next one etc.  Anyhow, I came up with the chant Spadina Bus while hanging with some musician friends (Jeff Johnston was perhaps the first to hear it) and it became somewhat of a party song.  I stuck a form and a melody to it the first time the Demons played together on the corner of Bloor & Bay(Young?) and the song took off as the Shuffle Demon theme.  In the street days, we used to play it every set.
